Brandon was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia on the 11th day of November 1977.  Moving around as a boy he attended schools in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Germany, and Korea before receiving bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Government from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.   More important than the degree—one need look no further than his two smart, beautiful daughters—he met his future wife at the university and married her shortly after graduation.  Active in sports, his only artistic outlet as a young man was writing.  He wrote his first “novel” The Adventure’s of Wesley Sumac at age ten and it was a raving success with his mother.  Although other creative outlets presented themselves in college, he continued to write in a non professional capacity and therefore needed a job that would pay bills.  He joined the army in 2000, going to basic training, officer candidate school, airborne school and then a tour of duty in Germany which was mostly spent training and in a deployment to Kosovo.  After getting out of the military, he then had the greatest job in the world.  A stay at home dad for his first born.  What came next was a childhood fantasy come true, for what boy hasn’t wanted to be a firefighter at some point in their lives.  He became a professional firefighter in 2008 and a paramedic in 2010.
Having written several adult spy novels and thrillers that were mostly praised and rejected by various publishers and agents, Brandon was reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to his daughters and seeing the light in their eyes, realized that he had found the only audience for his work he’d ever truly need and set out to write a series of books exclusively for them.  Scarlet Hopewell was born and a series followed with his daughters and their German Shepherd and black Labrador as inspiration for the main characters.  It turned out, more than just those two smiling faces liked the books and from 2014 to 2021, Manor Minor Press published Scarlet and the Keepers of Light, the Dragon’s Burden, the Queen of the New World, the Barrier’s Fall, and the Shattered Throne.  Brandon’s current project is Pillaging the Sun—released on Kindle Vella in serial form before novel publication in early 2022.
